Probably not with the naked eye but a camera is capable of capturing even the smallest rays of light.

+rep nice pics very fantasy style the 4th and 6th pics specially since the sky reflects off the water giving a symmetrical world kinda thing going on

not quite as many in the pictures, but yes, you can see hundreds of stars out there at night. the milky way is easily visible to the naked eye; it's quite a humbling experience. i now make a point of going out during each new moon to star gaze. prime milky way viewing occurs during the summer, so i'll be waiting patiently until then. :]

i don't live in canada, haha. bear creek lake state park is located in central virginia, USA. ;)

if you want to find a nice place to view stars, you can check out this light pollution map:

ideally you'd want to be in a blue/black area, but green is OK too. probably around a 2.5hr drive from toronto..
